Super TaiRa AIOT Data Link Difficult Field

IR Thermal Sensor Temperature Transceiver

  • In 2020, K-Best Technology accepted a custom request from Formosa Plastics' Renwu Plant and successfully integrated the Super TaiRa temperature and thermal sensing communication module.

Then, K-Best Technology successfully implemented the Super TaiRa wireless transmission subsystem. Super TaiRa replaces wired connections and carries Modbus protocol packets, demonstrating the superior reliability of ultra-long-distance wireless transmission and the software's ability to accurately calculate disaster warnings.

The Super TaiRa wireless transmission subsystem deployed at this site utilizes only a single host and antenna to collect infrared sensor data from remote locations. The signal range of Super TaiRa's low-power device is at least 2 kilometers under line-of-sight conditions, making it the only next-generation wireless transmission technology capable of ultra-low power and ultra-long distances.

In 2021, Super TaiRa was successfully integrated into the Formosa Plastics Renwu Plant's DCS monitoring system, effectively implementing AIOT in the factory! Full Wave Technology's independently developed and manufactured wireless communication subsystem has enabled the plant to achieve the most cost-effective and accurate data collection, real-time analysis, and the subsequent prediction of disaster warning mechanisms. The primary and secondary systems have been a win-win collaboration ever since!

The successful journey began when factory management selected over ten large ultra-high voltage (UHV) electrical panels within the plant. Three flammable points were identified within each panel enclosure and infrared cameras were installed. The requirements required the support of Full Wave Technology, without any network service or external force (drilling) to damage the panel enclosure. The Super TaiRa wireless transmission subsystem had to achieve reliable wireless transmission. This meant that the data captured by the thermal imaging camera not only had to penetrate the 3cm-thick panel enclosure, but also accurately transmit the correct temperature readings and respond to commands from a host computer at least 300 meters away. Furthermore, the transmission must continue 24/7, ensuring no chance of powering back on the equipment within the panel enclosure.

This successful industrial application is one of Super TaiRa's key achievements.
